This is my project for a class based on the PECO "Art in the Air" project. I call it "Dragon Drop (drag-n-drop)" dragon final 1 x264 from Kenny Harris on Vimeo. Next is a small portion of my work in progress untitled animation. Essentially, he's trying to decide what to paint, but addressing the ideas as they come to him. WIP from Kenny Harris on Vimeo. This painting is going well... it's changed a lot since the original design, but I like how it's moving along. The frame should be done by the end of this week. the lights just came in the mail about 5 minutes ago, so by the end of next week the whole thing should be finished!
Here's the base to my previously discussed painting. I still have one more layer of resin to put on. The frame has LED lights on the top, so the cards that make up the canvas will be front-lit while the painting will be back-lit
I've been working a lot lately, although not really getting much done. Since I'm spending so much time experimenting, the results usually aren't expressed, but here's a look at what I'm working on. It's a large painting (36x48) of many of my old friends from high school. The base for this is a canvas built out of Magic the Gathering cards, with an inch of polyester resin encasing it. So far, so good, minus the fire marshals showing up to ask me if I would stop pouring resin.
